Bio

Sean Hutchins has previously worked on psycholinguistics and neural network and dynamical systems modeling at the University of Connecticut with Whitney Tabor, and he completed his Ph.D. with Caroline Palmer at McGill University on music perception, performance, and memory. Currently, Sean is a postdoctoral fellow with Isabelle Peretz at Université de Montréal. He is working on amusic perception and performance in music and language, focusing on vocal pitch production and comparisons with pitch perception, and is also working with event-related potentials. Sean holds an NSERC-Create grant in auditory cognitive neuroscience.
